Handmade Album!

Hi folks,
Hope you all are doing great.
Its been a long time.. very long time that i looked into my blog..
busy schedule with new baby.. few orders.. learning new crafts.. time just passed soon..
now my baby is one year and elder one is in 1st grade..
Learned a lot many new craft works..
Meanwhile , My Venture KraftyWaves turns 3 today !!
So excited about it..

Thought of making something new on this occasion.. While making an album with Black and White theme.. happened to view KraftZone blog where this same contest is going on.. So thought of trying my luck .. :)


I have made a foldable mini album which is 6 by 4 1/2 when folded and nearly 2 1/2 ft when it is opend.! Can hold upto 15 photos of various sizes ( max of 3 by 5 inches)

Swap event in paper quilling jewelery group!

hi there,
Swap event is again on in PQJ group in Fb and i am a part of it .
This time it is to make 3d dolls.I started learning quilling with 3d dolls and figures.
So, this event makes me more excited.
Its been a long time that i have tried a 3d quilling since i was busy with earrings and wall frames.

Paper Quilled Geometrical Shapes in a Clock!

hi friends,
here goes my next entry as DT in Indian Quilling Challenge Group in FB.
Challenge - to do Geometrical designs with no limitations. So tried with about 12 geometrical symbols in a clock for a kid’s room.

Here is the actual picture of the clock before the quilling work.

I tried to implement 12 Shapes given for each no :

1 – Crescent

2 – Pentagon

3 – Rectanlge

4 – Semicircle

5 – Square

6 – Hexagon

7 – Ellipse

8 – Triangle

9 – Kite

10 – Trapezoid

11 – Oval

12 – Circle

Tangled in Quilling!!!

Hi all,
My third Challenge as DT member is to make Quilled 'A'...
This was indeed a bit hard to thing one.
Was thinkin of doing something new in Quilling which i have not tried for a long time.
my niece, Ananya 's name struck my mind .. her bday being in july .. so thought of gifting her my quilling work.So, why not her name in it?
Then came the idea of making a Quilled Wall art with 'Ananya' name by including the Zentangle art into it.
Zentangle is a new art to me, which i have been tryin to learn quite a few days.
Its like a meditation,stress buster.Anyone can try .. its indeed a cool one.

Now, about this Name frame..
The Entire art in 13" x13"  card stock paper. I wanted to make it more pleasing to eyes, so chose Off white and gold as colours. Letters are of Gold,hand written and cut into shape and then quilled with off white colour.Added a gold background to make it more standout.
The work is yet to be framed.
Hope the whole work as come out good.

My Role as DT member in Indian Quilling Challenge Group (FB)

I know its bit late to mention about this.
I am happy to share that i have been selected as DT member in Indian Quilling Challenge grp in FB.
This is my first exp as DT member. i was bit nervous whether i will be able to do justice to the post.
But , Shylaa makes it easy and comes with simple challenges for me to do as DT member. Thanks to her.
Challenges will be running for two weeks and as an inspiration i have to make the said project.
First Week Challenge - To make CAS card with Quilling.
